5Excellent beginner/casual kayak  Jan 16, 2012 By Morto422
An excellent kayak overall.
Cons: Wide in the middle makes it a bit slower at top speed, which makes long trips even longer. The seat could also stand to be a bit more comfortable as it tends to slide down underneath you while you ride (an easy fix with a rope or strap)

Pros: Lightwieght - only about 25 lbs makes it quick to accelerate, as well as easy to carry around. Being inflatable, it packs into a large duffel bag that fits into the trunk of your car with ease, and only takes a few minutes to unpack and inflate. The price is also very easy to get along with.

What I wish I had known before I bought this: 1) the advanced elements hand pump pretty much needs to be bought along with it 2) I had no idea how often people will stop and ask me about my kayak.
This boat is perfect for river trips and small lakes, or for just lounging in the water. It's tough enough that I never worry about it being punctured. If you're a beginner, or a casual kayaker this is an excellent purchase. I wound up buying two, so I could bring a friend with me anytime I go.

3Gets You Out Of The House  Jan 02, 2012 By Nicki Bassett
I bought this kayak because I live in an apartment with no place to store a hard shell. The size is great for storing and hauling, and it is pretty quick to inflate. There are a few things that made me wish I had held out for a hard shell though. The valve is hard to close. You have to push down and release very quickly or you loose half the air you've just pumped in. It doesn't manouver well when going upstream. No matter how much air I put in it, it seems like I am always sitting a little lower and creating a lot of drag. Hard to keep up with other hard shelled kayakers going against the current. And there isn't really any room to store things in the kayak with you other than in your lap. It is serving it's purpose though, just getting me out of the house and onto the water. Good for people who just want an escape into nature!

565 year old lady loves her first kayak  Jul 10, 2011 By moosehouse
it takes about 15 min from bag to the water, only weighs 26 lb and fits behind the seat of the truck
it's very stable, tho i've only been on small lakes
it's quite easy to get around - not at all tricky to maneuver - nice for a novice
it has plenty of space and i like the larger hole in the cockpit
i can put my feet up on the bow, lean back and drift and watch the loons
i like the soft floor and room to sit in different positions and the seat is comfy
glad i sprung for the high-end paddles, which are very light
