1Leaky pontoon, spinning oarlocks  May 31, 2010 By Douglas J. Capel
Used my new XR first time on Saturday. One pontoon had a slow leak and it was necessary to repump every 15 to 20 minutes. Lucky I had the pump with me or I would have had to abandon the boat in my 10 mile gorge float trip. Oarlocks defective, the wingnuts kept loosening despite retightening with pliers. Oars would spin & slip in the oarlocks. Tested leaky pontoon at downstream end of float, could see no bubbles. Possibly a defective valve. This was well tightened.
