5They have come a long way  Apr 12, 2012 By Matthew Graves
I purchased one of these as an upgrade to my current four piece paddle for a trip to Mexico. Amazon only had one size - a 220, which is small for me and my kayak, but the smaller size made the compactness all the better. The paddle handled well in rough seas with 18 knot wind. The grip is a little rough, so I was glad to have my sailing gloves with me. For the price, light weight and compactness, I just don't think there is a better valued four piece out there. Although, if you can afford the room of a two piece, then you will likely do better getting a two piece for strength, rigidity, and overall performance. Happy paddling!

4good paddle for the money  Sep 20, 2010 By Christa Parry
Although this paddle appears durable, it is difficult to get one of the paddle pieces disconnected. I use it as a spare breakaway in my kayak and for paddling my inflatable kayak in class IV water.
