The Helios II is the latest version of the award winning Helios series. This kayak is rugged and tracks well. The material is environmentally-kind synthetic rubber, not PVC. The decks and interior are Lite-Pack fabric, saving 10% off the weight of earlier versions, and being far more comfortable to sit against. The Helios II is small enough to be carryon airline luggage when packed in its included drybag/backpack.

Excellent Value Apr 19, 2008
By Duane L. Smith Owned this kayak for two full seasons with no problems. Shell is very durable and can be inflated to a rigid shell. Does swamp easily in Class III whitewater, but will not sink. Slow on open water. Easy to set-up, easy to enter / exit. Valves very durable and eeasy to use. Best uses are for river day / multi-day trips. Very comfortable. Easily doubles as airmatress / shelter at camp site.
