Just one flaw. Oct 05, 2007

Mine just arrived today, when I put it together I noticed that the holes in the wooden board that the motor attaches to are a little bigger than the washers provided. If you try to tighten the nuts the washers sink down into the board therefore not serving their purpose. I had to go to the hardware store to get bigger washers to fit. May be just mine but just thought you should know before you take it out. You may have to get bigger washers....I got a set of regular washers. Overall it serves its purpose and with $0.30 worth of washers it works fine.

Well made, does what it should Jul 05, 2009
By Warspite2 One thing I like about this mount, you don't need any tools to put it on the boat. It uses bolts with sturdy thumb type screws and your done. Also, can't go wrong with good solid marine plywood. In the end, its a motor mount and it does what it is designed to do for the intex boats. Holds that little Minn Kota Endura 30 really good. The mount can accept a 3.5hp but on the Excursion boats you can only put up to a 1.5hp or up to 18 lbs motor weight. If you want to go to a 3.5 you will need to get a Sea Hawk II or Mariner boat.

Keeps the motor in place Oct 02, 2010
By Thezoo46052 Well it keeps the motor in place at the stern. Four simple clamps and bang your cruzing. This is holding a 30lb Minnkota on to the Intex 12. It is doing a fine job and is easy to use.

Nice price, works ok but needs 1 improvement Sep 22, 2011
By chaconne This mount seems to work fine with my Intex Mariner 4 and Suzuki DF2.5 outboard, but when I throttle up to high, the thrust causes the two vertical pipes, attaching from below the lower boat mounts, to press into the boat and tip the motor back. I discovered that if you put a rigid plywood or plastic plate (4"x19") between the back of the boat and these pipes, the motor has to push the whole plate into the back of the boat and this makes the mount much more rigid.
The price is so good ($28 as apposed to $75 for Sevylor's equivalent) that I decided to rate it 4 stars. With the above improvement, this mount should work fine.
