By Knows Better Now Can you ever have too many cam straps?
Probably not.
Bought this two pack to eliminate the need for multiple straps to attach two kayaks to a roof top rack for transport.
Great length - we can use one strap on each end to attach both boats.
Tensile strength seems as described, and the straps "feel" as one would expect heavy duty cam straps to feel.
They have shown little wear after a season of water, sun, salt, sand and grit.
The metal buckles are spring loaded and heavy duty - no rust or wear issues.
The black plastic pieces (buckle guards, maybe?) have not fared well. Given our use of these, not much point to them. They never stayed in place, didn't really offer the kind of protection they seemed intended for, and have become torn over the season. Not a reason NOT to buy these or award any less stars, but worth knowing if that's why these look like a good deal.
While you can compare to NRS Straps, these NRS 1in Tie-Down Strapswere not long enough, and these NRS NRS 1in. HD Tie Down Straps, while comparable in price, cost double by the time shipping was added. If you can find a deal with free shipping, they'd be every bit as good if not better...but at the time I was buying, these Malone straps were the best deal on Amazon.

Purchased for use as hammock straps Sep 15, 2011
By peariver Because of the length of these straps and the load limit, thought these may be a better option than hanging my Grand Trunck Skeeter Beeter Pro hammock with the paracord that came with the hammock. The paracord streches and is too short for unknown distances between trees I may encounter. I received the straps yesterday and they hold my hammock and my 6'2" 240lbs frame well. I also will add it was a pretty quick way to set up my hammock and I think these will be a great addition to my camping gear.
Nice long tie down straps Aug 30, 2011
By Douglas S. Flint Before I bought these straps it would take me forever to tie my kayaks down onto my car. I used much shorter straps and had to have a pair for each kayak so, i had to repeat each step twice. These straps are long enough to go across both kayaks and tie to my rack with no problems. Now I spend more time kayaking and less time in set up.
Excelent straps! Aug 10, 2011
By Gustavo Guzmán I use these straps to do my workout along with a pullup bar, like a "Homemade TRX". Excelent quality. I really recomend this item.
