I purchased these straps not to hold my canoe but to make some bargain priced suspension training systems. I looked at the big box retailers but could not find straps that were sufficiently load rated for what I wanted to do. These straps looked to have the best load rating. I have been very satisfied with my purchase, which in this case means that they have not broken and dropped my @ss on the ground;) I will buy another set to make more for my friends.

If you have a roof rack you need these straps. I used them extensively while moving. You can pull them tight just like a ratchet strap but they don't have the bulky hooks or levers. Great if you need to move things like couches and other furniture.

The webbing is a bit soft and that must feel good to my boat....but, I question the longevity of these straps. The buckle protector is very small and because the webbing is soft it does not glide through the cam buckle well. I have NRS straps that are 15 years old that are still in fantastic shape...just too long! Alas, I really ought to have stuck with NRS instead of these cheaply made Malone's!

These are just what I was looking for. These are similar to the straps that came with my Thule kayak rack and are much easier to use than the ratchet style straps. As always, amazon was great...I ordered these while I was on vacation and they were delivered just two days later.

They work like they should. Not much more to say.
