5Simply Outstanding!  Dec 11, 2010 By K. Hansen
My husband and I bought two Necky Rips at the beginning of Summer in 2010. We were amazed at the tracking ability, stow capacity, ability to take on rough water, price and overall appearance of these kayaks. The kayaks spent a week in the Adirondacks exploring water in the high peaks region, in various lakes in the Finger Lakes region of NY and in local creeks. When comparing to similar kayaks, I cannot imagine why anyone would buy something other than the Necky Rip. We shopped for a long time, carefully comparing other similar yaks and nothing could come close for the price.

4Great First Kayak  May 21, 2010 By Jennifer Badgley
I purchased this kayak from REI about a week ago and am very pleased. It tracks pretty well in the water and the cockpit is large enough to accomidate my 75lb Weim while paddeling. It seems to be made better and have more features than kayaks of a similar price point. This is my first kayak, but I would recommend it for a beginner.
