I LOVE my new Kayak! Great Sit on Top! Oct 25, 2010
By Kathryn R. Gabriel The OK Caper is a great all around kayak. I use it recreationally on lakes, rivers and reservoirs. It could also be used for fishing, photography, overnighters and more. There is plenty of storage in the hull and tank well. I'm planning on installing a 6" storage hatch for even more accessibility and storage. Love the cupholder and multiple foot holds. Really love the color (sunrise). Took it through some Class 1 rapids last weekend and it handled nicely. I got a 1" seat cushion to add to my seat to make it more comfortable b/c i tend to stay out on the water for hours. That made a big difference. I also love the sit on top style b/c it's easier to get in/out of at shore and in the water. The Caper moves well through the water and tracks nicely. I am really enjoying my new kayak quite a lot.
Kayak for the Joy of it... May 24, 2011
By babs227ga I got this in the "off season" in GA. Last week was the first day in the water. I had to get it from my garage to the lake. The kayak is pretty managable with two people. We were able to load it to the top of our Yukon and tie it down for the 2 mile trip to our friends dock. She and I were able to unload and carry down a pretty steep staircase to the dock and get it in the water without issues. From other reviews while doing my research I was concerned about stability getting into and out of it - NOT a problem! There is plenty of room for lifejacket, extra water, towel and a small bucket to pick up lake trash with. Handling was very nice. This is my second season of paddling the lake, so I am not an expert, just a gal that enjoys the water! I had also hurt my back the day before and was very hesitant about the ride, but the high back of the seat that comes with this kayak was awesome! No back pain at all. The only downside I would have to report is I am looking for a seat bottom with more "cush" =)
Ocean Kayak Caper Model Apr 03, 2011
By Ross Resident Light weight and easy to manuever on the water, I love this kayak. I am retired and new to the sport. I anticipate using this for fishing as well as exercise.
