Excellent kayak - don't be misled by other review Jan 21, 2009
By D. White I personally have owned this kayak for almost a year now and it is an excellent value in an inflatable kayak. It is tough as nails and extremely well built. To be fair, I have the "Deluxe" package, not the "Pro" - regardless, the actual kayak assembly is exactly the same. Go to the Sea Eagle website for full info on package differences. I've had alot of people show interest in my 380x, and I love it - highly recommended!!

great versatility and capacity Jul 05, 2010
By Neil R. Goldberg My primary use for this Kayak has been on flat water with the optional Skeg installed which helps with directional stability. After our experience on flat water we intend to use it for white water as we live fairly close to the delaware water gap.
The build quality is very high and appears to be the same as the company's other boats that are rated for up to 40 hp. Before buying it I drove to the manufacturers facility in Long Island to examine the quality, and was very impressed. I own another inflatable which I use with a 15 hp engine, so that forms my frame of reference.
Its also a NMMA cerified hull which not all inflatables are.
I tip the scales at a bit over 300 lbs and bought this boat for excersize and to share with my wife who is petite. We both love it and have adequate room for ourselves picnic gear and our 22 lb mini schanauzer. We will take some day trips on the delaware before summers end. Stability and ease of acess are very good. I feel safer in this boat than in any of the hard shells Ive rented, or in the canoe I own.

Great boat Aug 06, 2011
By Surge i bought this boat to be a secondary kayak for when friends want to go out on the lake with me. it has become my primary boat. i bought the attachable directional skeg and it tracks straight as an arrow in open water. i've only taken it on a river once but it performed great.

HOLE IN THE BOTTOM FIRST TIME OUT Aug 01, 2011
By SPUNKY Well, big disappoint. Went over a rock first time out in the boat on the river, and ripped a 10" hole in the bottom of the boat, and in the floor. Floated 9 miles sitting in 10" of water. The sides kept us a float. I would never recommend this item. Totally not worth the money, and a waste. It was I guess the most expensive river trip we have ever taken, no joke, $920 down the drain. Oh, I guess we could send it back for a repair job for a minimum of $7
Update: Well, I have to say, their customer service was awesome! We have another boat being shipped to us. They really stand behind their product! We will see how the next one holds up.

Listen to first review!!! Jun 08, 2010
By S. Wilcox
"Bitz"
Ordered the 380X pro package and only the hull came, not even the floor. No paddles, seats, pump or storage bags. And this was supposed to have the inflatable floor lashed down to the 1000 denier protective bottom, but upon rolling the thing out, to my surprise, there was no inflatable floor even in the thing!
