Replacement blade May 23, 2010
By Janet Connor First the praise: Amazon was the ONLY place I was able to find a replacement blade for this kayak paddle, so I was grateful to be able to order it. Even Sevylor, the maker, had none to offer. And now the not-so-praiseworthy: the blade doesn't screw on tightly enough to prevent it moving around the paddle shaft--which is why it fell off (and sank) in the first place. The fix? We put a strip of electrical tape under the collar and it cinched down well. Let's hope it lasts until we get brave enough to move up to a better paddle.
