This is a nice solid paddle. Good for first timers. At the breaking point there is a locking pin with multiple positioning holds which is nice. the locking point could be a little more secure. I will be adding a washer of some type to keep water out of the shaft. over all this was a good buy, nice paddle for the money.

What came in the male was not what was ordered. The tag is different, the item is completelly different.

The item itself is good. I like it, I reduced one star due to me not getting what I ordered. The paddle is two spoon shaped blades with three anodized aluminum shafts. Two of those shafts have a twist type attaching mechanism. The center shaft fits inside the other two, thus it telescopes out to 89" and all the way in to 78". The twist type mechanism will actually have the paddle not change angles of the blade while you are paddling. It'll twist a few degrees but will come back to the original angle you set it up with.
