| | Description | The Colorado has a raised bow and stern and is as close in shape, comfort and styling to the traditional North American Indian canoe as an inflatable boat will ever get. It's double hull construction makes it very rugged and rigid. The canoe combines the stability, maneuverability and sea worthiness of a kayak with comfort, looks and styling of the traditional North American canoe. Ideally suited for rough waters, lakes, ocean, fishing and diving and great for beginners. Includes 2 bucket seats, removable stern storage compartment, 2 directional strakes, carrying handles, multiple d-rings and ties, motor mount fittings (to attach a Sevylor® SBM 12V trolling motor), and a nylon carrying bag | |

Perfect inflatable for my needs Oct 20, 2008
By Cathy Randall I bought this item a year ago and have used it a number of times since. I love the Colorado Sevylor Canoe as it fit my needs perfectly. It is made quite well and handles superbly for an inflatable craft. The tracking was better than I thought it would be and whenever I take it out on the lake or river, it is a real head turner. People often ask me about it and I sing it praises. I had certain requirements that made it necessary for me to look for an inflatable craft; I had sold my hard framed Coleman canoe which I loved but after my kids left the nest and I was alone, it was very cumbersome to load without causing damage to my new car. I wanted something that I could handle alone without the need to have someone assist me when I wanted to go canoeing. I can lift and load my Colorado Sevylor Canoe myself. It fits neatly in the trunk of my Honda Civic. I also purchased an electric, chargeable air pump which allows me to inflate and deflate this craft in no time at all. Real thought went into the making of this craft and I recommend it to anyone who wants the freedom to float and explore waterways without killing their backs in the process.

Better than expected Jan 13, 2010
By J. Hartsell I am pleased with this purhcase I had occasion to use this several times last summer and it worked very well. It is nice to be abe to take my little boys canoeing without having an extra set of hands to get the boat in and out of the water. It is a little more time consuming to set up than I had hoped but not bad between 15 and 20 minutes. Several posts I read reported carrying the Canoe in the trunk and using it, which you can do.The problem runs in putting it up after you use it since it is wet and sometimes muddy depending on where you use it so you have to take that into consideration in your set up and takedown time as you may need to unpack it to dry once you get home to avoid mildew. I mention this as i really didnt consider this when buying it and it does detract from some of the quick usuablity aspect of it.It does track fairly well in the water but certainly not like a hard side would but it makes up for that in portabilty and user friendliness. I have two small boys and and a grown one and was able to use it with all of them.Seems plenty sturdy and sound with the little guys and able to manipulate it with only one person really paddling and a bit crowded with two adults but still not bad for what it is and the seats are pretty comfy compared to my hard sided one.It doesnt fit back in the bag as well as it should after you use it so that makes it a bit harder to carry around than it would seem from the videos available about it. Still all in all a great buy and will hopefully give me many years or use definitely not a flimsy thin inflatable seems rugged so far.

Great buy for the money Jan 14, 2010
By astrorev Disregard the marketing claim that this is a canoe, it's far closer to an inflatable kayak than any canoe I've ever been in. That said, I have been well pleased with the performance of this boat. Mind you, this is no whitewater kayak, neither is it a racing boat. But for those looking for something very stable and reasonably comfortable, I highly recommend this. I added this boat to my fleet of twenty something boats that I use for my work, and currently is my boat of choice. The high gunwhales allow me to zip through up to class II rapids without taking on much water, and my medium large dog sits up front comfortably and without complaint. There's room for gear or two adults and a child. And when there's just a breeze or less, it does well on lakes and flatwater. There are a few design flaws in my opinion. The neck valves for the floor and underseat cushions are a pain to pump up and especially to deflate. They should've installed boston valves like they did in the main chambers. And the self-draining plug in the back of the boat can be really difficult to pop out. But as in most products there's a trade off, and for me the benefits of this model far outweigh the disadvantages. I've been recommending this kayak to my friends for the last year and a half and I'll continue to do so when newcomers ask me for a boat that's great to learn recreational kayaking.

Best deal ever May 27, 2009
By Danya Get this boat. If you can't afford a serious river ducky or hard-shell canoe, or if you're a beginner like me this is a great option. I have been on lakes and down some class2/3 rapids and it was stellar. my dog loves it and so do I. Only issue is the floor valve is hard to inflate, and one of the boston valves seems off-kilter at times.
