| | Description | The SUPER CARAVELLE has been the flagship line of Sevylor boats for over 50 years. Origanaly called the "Caravelle", the first oval boat manufactured in the world to incorporate DIN construction (boat within a boat safety chambers). Over the years, numerous improvements were made to the boat including the addition of tunnel chambers to the bottom of the boat (to help with tracking and stability), swivel oarlocks (for ease of rowing), a motor mount bustle chamber (to support gas motors up to 3.5 HP) and improvements in the PVC material used in the construction of the boats making them the new SUPER CARAVELLES. You can even put a sail on it Sep 04, 2007
By Jim Luckett I prefer the Intex Mariner and the Intex Seahawk II, because they are firmer, but this is not a bad boat. It has more weight carrying capacity and can take a bigger motor than either of the Intex boats I mentioned.
I use my Sevylor Super Caravelle with a SailboatsToGo sail kit. I love that I can have a sailboat that fits inside my car and can travel in checked baggage on the airlines. I posted some pictures (click on thumbnails under the main product picture).

so far so good Jul 06, 2010
By CRhodes03 we bought this boat last year for something fun for the kids and easy to transport. so far its been a great boat. although we are opting to buy a motor since the person paddling takes up half the boat. i dont know how four people would fit with someone paddling. we had two adults and two small children and we barely fit. but other than that, its held up well.

By Cathy I've had these boats in the past and they've always been my favorite. They're pretty sturdy and don't get holes in them easily if you use them responsibly. I've gone over by fair share of rocks and scraped the bottom on a couple things but it's still going strong.
This model is bigger than the ones I've had before, and Amazon sells it at a nice price compared to the outdoor stores I have around my house.
Great product overall.
