Not Worth It Aug 02, 2009
By Anthony Talbot I purchased these for my wife and I. There are both going back tomorrow. The previous reviewer was right. The drink holder will not stand upright in a fixed position as shown on the web page. The bottle just swings in space and is real irritating when you are paddling. The holder is too small for a one liter wide mouth bottle which is what we prefer to use in our kayaks. It's also too short for a bicycle type water bottle.

Maybe I'm using it wrong Aug 07, 2009
By M. A. Welch Eh. If you are a kayaker, and you're out for just a few hours and you want a 16oz bottle of bottled water, then this is for you. If you are in a canoe on a 5 day trip and a 20oz water container. then...not so much. It has a funky clip that slides from the side which is difficult to do with everything attached and dangling. It is so it can be used with different profile boats, I understand, but the idea of having a quick, detachable drink holder just doens't work here. The materials and sturdiness are fine, it just didn't work for how I needed to use it. The mesh bag is a cool "extra" for wettable items.
I'm leaving it behind my next trip.

Flimsy, but stays attached. That's as good as it gets. Apr 10, 2012

I think this product is overpriced. I also don't understand why it's so highly rated. I figured because it allows you to (sort of) securely hold a drink/bottle in your boat without having to drill permanent holes to attach a drink holder. I think it's flimsy and it doesn't hold a bottle when it's full, and the clips aren't a secure fit onto the rim of the kayak cockpit. It wiggles around and gets annoying, in my opinion. I don't see myself using this on a daily basis. I think a Nalgene bottle would be easier.
On a positive note, it doesn't come unattached from the rim, and it holds a soda better than a taller water bottle. Haven't tried a beer bottle yet, buuuut I think that would end badly.

It is what it is. Sep 06, 2011
By JLM The Yakuzzi is exactly what the promotion says. It evens holds a water bottle bigger that what it says so I was happy about that. I've put my standard stainless water bottle, that holds at least 20 oz,into it and it fit into the kuzzi part just fine. (The kuzzi is the same size as kuzzis that are sold at most stores for plastic water bottles and beer bottles. As far as slipping down, I think that your kayak would have to have a lip of some sort to hold it from slipping, but it works great on my boat, AND you can adjust the angle up or down depending on the bottle size that you are using simply by tightening or loosening the draw string. *My only concern is that once clipped onto the boat, it is a little more involved than just reaching for your water bottle once you decide you want a drink. You either have to remove the bottle from the Yakuzzi or unclip the kuzzi part from the boat clip or unclip the entire thing... can be done but it will take a bit. I wish it could be made with a more permanent type bottle holder rather than just a kuzzi, then you could easily slip your bottle in and out of it while on the go.
